Great to see someone reporting from there  I'm sure many Aussies are interested.

I'm very keen to hear how the South Aussies are going, as well as SuperHappyFunSlider...

Hey folks!

turns out i'm not in presidents, 2 of the koreans decided not to grace us with their presence - i have now taken the 4th spot in the queensland second team, and am playing as the number 2-3 player. i've had one win, and took Khoa Nguyen to 5, that's about it.

SA? I think i'll be playing them tomorrow/Friday, so I'll let you know when that happens ;) The Korean A team that is here is of a Superb level, pbsmick should have some briliant videos.

Results can be found here. They don't appear to be complete but at least the Mens Teams results are there.

Wouldn't mind seeing a video of the Vic U21 team members playing is that's possible at some stage

I see you played the Kiwi's those players are spread between 11 and 30 in NZ, we seldom have the best of our best ever go to Australia, and our Women's team won't be very strong at all

our team played SA in the 5-8 crossover - i (politically) chose to sit out, and the team lost. so we're now plainyg nsw B for 7-8yth in the morning

yep, I played NZ - and played like a turkey. theres a few handy players but was very unimpressed with 2/3 losses there. glad i've picked my game up now :-)

Foam - there was a little bit about the under 21s (and Ben Taylor in particular) on pbsmick's site:

"Today was the last day for Team’s Event. In the U21 Male Team it was VIC vs QLD. Stand out player was Ben Taylor showing great skill and composure under pressure. Unfortunately VIC went down 5-2. Even though his Team lost the Final, Simon Gerada is as proud as you can be. He said his boys have learnt a lot over the last couple of days and that going to competions like this is actually a lot of hard work. Making sure you get enough sleep, arrive early for your matches and even eating right!"

Lol - absolutely! Apparently they only practice for about 20 minutes a week and have never had to work on refining their technique. all they did was get the right equipment for their game and...voila! What an easy sport TT is. |( |( |(

hey guys! any Q's about the tournament/players ask away. I played a shocker, and am leaving with a BUCKET of things to learn - most importantly my mental state when I Play. i played more close sets that I freaked out at 8 all and loss than I am happy to count. competitive with everyone but the very very best but just got scared.
Won't happen again.
We had a special guest tho! check this guy out!

haha! im sure he'd learn a whole lot from me ;)
actually, he coached against me on thursday in the doubles. that was awfully intimidating but we did alright!

one of our coaches up here - the Esteemed Mr Kim - was his coach when he was a junior, so having the korean team plus Mr Kim here brought him over, it was an absolute honour. Mr Kim introduced me and he was awesome!
