New Zealand Vets 2013 anyone going? i can't go this year although I really wanted to, I got a a silver last year plenty of Aussies are coming , I know Greggy will be there in his home town The 2013 NZ Veteran Open Championships will be hosted by Table Tennis Canterbury from 28th March to 1st April. http://www.tabletennis.org.nz/ here's the test teams The TTNZ Veteran Selectors have announced the following players to play in a test match – NZ v Australia on Thursday evening, March 28th at 7p.m. O40 Men – Jong Eub Han, Simon Fenwick O40 Women – Sarah Sandley, Gina Liu O50 Men – Malcolm Darroch, Stuart Armstrong O50 Women – Tutty Tanfana, Lesley Gardner O60 Men – Doug Pattinson, Kevin Fogarty O60 Women – Tanya Sulimova, Val Beaver O65 Men – Willie Weinstock, Bryan McConnochie O70 Men – Chip Eade, Alan Alabaster O75 Men – Fleming Alison, Jim Jarmin Australia O40 Women Belgin Bennett VIC - Capt Beverley Clarkson NSW O50 Women Debbie Wilson VIC - Capt Jan Yu QLD O60 Women Averil Roberts VIC - Capt Marilyn White NSW O40 Men Greg Letts WA - Capt Max Wellington QLD O50 Men Brian Berry VIC - Capt Craig Campbell WA O60 Men Mick Wright VIC - Capt Thomas Samuelsson - QLD O65 Men Michael Ede - VIC - Capt Martin Solomons O70 Men Buddy Reid - VIC - Capt Ken Hay - QLD O75 Men Case DeBondt - VIC - Capt Jim Furness - VIC |

I must try and go one year - Im sure its fun. I will try to get to the world vets in NZ however. Do you know the breakdown of results for the 40s and 50s men? |

Do you know who beat who in the mens o40 and o50 teams matches? that Mr Han would have been too good I expect, but he hasn't played competitions for a 2-3 years Malcolm is very fit and still plays like a 28 yo (a young mans style) as opposed to slower and tricky lol I would have thought Craig Dye would have beaten Brian Berry, my guess is that when Brian is attacking he has games where he just doesn't miss, also Craig wants to attack or chop against topspin and Brian tends to drive more or use his from the pocket straight arm loop lol |
