Not too many notable players having played yet. Koki Niwa won his game. He Zhiwen lost 4-2 to Chen after knocking out the last American player Yijun Feng. North America has 1 player left in Eugene Wang who managed to sneak into the 3rd round. Impressive, really.

USA's Lily Zhang is on to round 3. Her bracket looks favorable. If she had run into a top10 aggressive player I'd say she'd probably be out of luck. However she'll play Suh Hyowon, the chopper. Interested to see if she'll be able to handle it or if she'll be getting dismantled today by Suh's ridiculous chops. Lily destroyed Shao Jieni yesterday who's ITTF #50 something. Since she's in college and doesn't make a whole lot of international showings I think most of us are curious to see where America stands now that we have a decent player of age.

Later this afternoon the fun starts with all the players who got byes to round 3 taking to the tables. Round of 32 begins today.
