already have a tread about olympic games??
If no this could be the Official one.

Tomorrow i will be there in rio to see the games.
when i get back i put some pics and videos...

Hey guys, yestrerday I was there...
I saw the womens quarter final
Ai fukurara x feng tianwei
li xiaoxia x Cheng I ching
Kim Song-I x Yu MengYu
Ding Ning x Han ying

And the mens quarter final

Dima x Sansonov
Koki niwa x Zang Jike

The best match that i saw was Kin Song I x Yu mengyu.
Kim is a defender from PRK that was defending EVERYTING and on the last set Attacking too. man that was awesome.
Valdi x Dima was also a good game.
I will put some pics later.
There was some players seating next to me :
Timo boll
Patrick franziska
Wong Chun ting
tang peng
Hugo calderano
Han Ying
Petrissa solja
ho kwan kit
and some brasilian pros too.

No i just see one day of matches. i got a bus here in my city at 21:00 was in rio 5:30 , gone to the game arena , watch 2 sessions quarter final female and 1/2 quarter final male, got the bus 21:30 at rio and was in my home town at 6:00...

its crazy expensive things in rio this time of year, i did a cheap trip hahahha

China wins Olympic gold and silver medals in men and women. Again. What an uncompetitive sport, lol.

Can't wait till they add TTX to the Olympics. Maybe that is the answer.

The fact that the Chinese win all the gold medals doesn't mean it's not a competitive sport. It just means that China takes it rather more seriously. It probably hasn't escaped your notice that GB has over-performed since Sydney. It is all about how much cash is pumped into specific sports. GB has put a lot into cycling for example. I have no doubt that if they put as much into table tennis, we would see a similar improvement. Just not as many medals available to win from it.
