Cool! Get to watch both tables simultaneously half a world away. Oh wait.. that doesn't work, the Earth is flat.. Geostationary satellites are a myth.. Kanak Jha seems to be two games down at the moment. Huh.. they broke a ball. He's down three games now. Second game apparently went to 15! Jha takes the fourth game. Wow.. that last point was a classic. He actually chopped one ball. He seems to be very good at blocking, Alguetti is the stronger looper. Oh heck.. it's almost 3am.. I think I'll watch the rest of this elsewhere if they post it.. *Groan* Just ONE MORE GAME. Jha takes it 12-10.. Forget about sleep. Alguetti Cho's a lot, except it sounds like "Choo". Omigoodness.. they're level. Three games each. Definitely have to watch the last game.. Argh.. game starting on table 2. Lily Wang vs. Crystal Zhang. Simultaneous audio is interesting, since they're miked separately but are right next to each other. You can tell they're exactly in synch, though.. Iskandar |

some great games there. one not so great game - really petulant behaviour you wouldn't expect from such a senior player cut and paste explanation from Youtube: First, (at 1:37), Umpire called LET, gives warning about her ball spinning up there with the toss. Then (at 2:10), Umpire called "Fault" at the next "throw back flat" serve. (at 4:58), Trailing 0:8 at Game 2, Wang started to behave weird...... (at 5:53), the player told Umpire she want to be "defaulted" (at 6:38) , this player no handshake with Umpire, no handshake with innocent player. |

Yeah, some players just don't seem to understand that rules are not guidelines. Especially rules that govern gameplay. If you roll-toss a ball with cupped hand it will get called out no matter how high you toss it. And if you toss the ball into your body without sufficient height again you will get called out. She is lucky both serves didn't get faulted and that the 1st serve was given a warning. |

Totally unacceptable behaviour aside, she was well outplayed by her opponent. |

The problem is not just Wang Chen's behavior or illegal serves but the inconsistent calls by the umpires. The serves can't be illegal some of the time and legal other times. I actually thought her serves were illegal most of the time (for various reasons) but the umpires only called it at seemingly random times. That would frustrate anyone. |
