It isn't a proposal. It has been decided. Poly ball to be used by ittf in 2014. It would, I think, take a new proposal to change that. Nothing has fizzled yet. The only changes are that intgroduction date got pushed outand that the new poly ball will probably not be seamless. At least not the one that the ITTF will be using.

True, but one could argue that the initial vote was void, since it was based on flawed information...

I can smell a juicy lawsuit coming if the ITTF suddenly drops the new ball after twisting the arm of DHS to develop it with the promise of a virtual monopoly on the new balls.

I think some ITTF member reps would have to file a complaint/grievance. Either that, or someone with standing would have to file a lawsuit. Neither seems likely to me.
