I got a news from China:
A company named Palio from China held their new product release conference, it has started selling seamless ball in China, however, the real manufacturer of Polyball (seamless ball) and the patent holder are not Shanghai Double Happiness and Double Fish (DHS and DF)of China, but a private company from Guangzhou China, the head of the company made a declaration that the present non-celluloid ball made of new material have two styles, one is non-celluloid seamless ball, the other is non-celluloid seam ball. The Polyball (seamless ball) made by the company has no any connexion with the patent discussed on FIT conference. The seamless ball can be quite normally produced and sold, for it, you can check and confirm it from Chinese and international patent authorities. As to whether the non-celluloid seam ball made by other Chinese companies has conflict with the patent discussed on FIT conference, he said it also need to check and confirm in the related patent authorities. He also said he reported the information to ITTF and FIT. Meanwhile he made clear that he would like to cooperate with all the manufacturers and merchants in the world to sell Polyball (seamless ball) on an equal and a fair basis, as well as other forms of cooperation, and let all the manufacturers and merchants enjoy the results of technical progress.

That sounds good, as long as the ITTF will approve the balls.

This would be the first time that a Chinese company cares about patents ;-)

The In Sook Yoo/Kuhn patent applies to the material being used for the ball. It applies to both seamless and seamed balls. If the Palio ball uses the materials described in the patent, then the In Sook Yoo patent would come into play.

This is odd.

As for as I know the In Sook Yoo/Kuhn patent can not applys to the material being used for seamless ball, that is to say the material of seamless ball has not any connexion with the material mentioned in the patent.
