(It's like a 7-ply without the middle ply.)

I completely missed your post. I will check it on tuesday but If my memory serves me right it has only 5 plies.

I checked it and now i'm confused i don't know if it has 5 or 6 plies. But anyway it's an amazing blade that plays superbe with short pips especially with super spin pips 21. Flat hitting with that combo is incredibly easy and even looping is possible without adjusting my strokes(my loops are rather flat i'm not much of a brusher). Im even thinking of switching to pips now haha.

My first premade (35 years ago) was a five equal ply basswood 6.4mm 104g (and its conical mahogany handle looks exactly like a PF4 too).

I not only converted to pips and a flat game about four months ago, I might be switching to cpen too.

This forum is subversive.

After trying this blade I understand why the chinese flat hitters basswood blades. Basswood blades incredibly solid and powerful. With inverted this blade is a little much for me but with pips it's amazing

So who is Armstrong? Apparently they invented sponge. Or at least, they supplied Satoh with his bat in 1952!

Looking through the catalog, it's got the same problem that a lot of Japanese web sites have - too many bright colors and too much information crammed into little boxes all over the pages.

What do they sell? Rubber, of course, and a HUGE collection of Japanese penhold blades. Even round ones (better for over-the-table play). Some have a very bizarre way of attaching handles to the blade (the blade under the handle tapers to nothing, leaving a long "overhang"). The ones with colored backs are invariably black (I wonder if "red backside" is an option). Their balls don't seem to have star ratings, interestingly enough. Prices are... Japanese (i.e. high).
