RM, not a bad point too. Even if they don't have their own forum, if a retailer was crook then we would probably hear about it on this, or another forum. Perhaps not quite as reliable as the retailers own forum, but news would spread, and as you say Iriuru hasn't had a bad rap here.

So far, I spent most of my money on presports.com and dandoy. presports has so far been very good in terms of service and communication and all those necessary qualities for a successful online shop. The ability to pay in A$ is also a great plus. dandoy can be very annoying in that they don't communicate timely and always slow in delivery as far as my exprience goes. I have stopped buying from them for a while now.

I placed my first order with iruiru last night for a Nittaku blade and a couple of butterfly rubbers. It was Thursday late night shopping for me :P I will see how my exprience goes before I judge.

Having said all that, if given a choice, I would definitely always consider OOAK as my first stop. Though I only bought twice from them, I find communication and delivery first class. It imparts great confidence to a buyer like myself. If only OOAK is able to source more J-Pen products...hint hint :)

Cheers.

You can have fast delivery - they have an international courier option - but you have to pay for it.

silver, the slow delivery as far as my experiences are concerned is always due to out of stock items. And they have this bad habit of not communicating. And when I wrote to ask on why my order is still not sent, it takes a few days before they would reply saying some items in my order is out of stock. This happened ALL the time. And once, I even received an incomplete order with missing items and had to chase up with them which is a real hassle considering they don't reply to emails in a timely manner. At the time I ordered from them is because I first started out and they have the products I want. Now that I know of better online stores such as OOAK and presports, I will avoid them.

Cheers.

I am most impressed with iruiru. They don't muck about just like OOAK and presports. I placed my order on Thursday night. My package is now safely in my hands this Monday morning. Great stuff. :D

Cheers.

iruiru is one of the most reliable TT shops ever. I've been to the actual store which was very impresive. They could give you advice and pick out blades and rubbers for you.

The iruiru internet shop has NEVER EVER been a place for scams and their e-mail system is very good. Just remember where Japan is situated. For those guys in the UK it's 9+ hours ahead (well that's winter time) so you have to be patient but I asure you that they WILL reply to your e-mail as soon as they receive and read it.

The quality control is amazing. They keep blades nice and safe out of the humidity and heat.

I've had NO PROMBLEMS with their bat make-up thing as well.

CVC is not necessarily needed when the merchant processes the transaction.

You're welcome! I've set up and run online payments for a very well known organisation in the UK - would rather not say who - last year we took close to £40m by this method. In our case it is cheaper to take the CVC numbers, so we do, as the "banks" (merchant services) and card schemes regard you as more secure; but it is not mandatory. In many ways as a payer you should feel quite happy not having to have revealed your CV2 number!

I've almost bought from iruiru. They didn't seem cheap, but the reputation I'd read on other forums was good. What put me off in end was their transaction pages which I struggled to understand and I'm loath to give financial details if I don't know what I'm doing on a payment page. That said, after reading this thread I visited their website again and compared to what I remember it seems their website may have been upgraded/ made more user friendly for English speakers now.

If I buy outside of Europe, it's usually from Presports or OOAK but with the value of the pound this is now rare - especially as we get clobbered in customs and import duty and handling charges for anything over £18 bought outside Europe. Presports send out an email when the order is dispatched and they ask you to email them back when you receive your order. When I've done this they've even acknowledged my acknowledgment! They also let you select the currency you want to view prices in and I think pay in via worldpay. Delivery from them (Malaysia to UK) is usually 7 days - quicker than when I've bought from Dandoy (although to be fair to Dandoy I've never had problems with delays in them replying to my emails - and I would use them again). OOAK have always been excellent and Alex or Luna have both helped me on a couple of occasions with rubber selection and order details. The only issue I've had here is that the Australian customs people seem to like delaying delivery by opening up packages from OOAK for security reasons.

I think problems will always occur with orders. I've had more orders go wrong with UK suppliers (wrong colour rubber, wrong size shoe etc) all of which is unwanted hassle. However, that's the same what ever you buy and although frustrating it's always been sorted. Only on one occasion have I had to threaten getting legal involvement via my credit card company before an issue was sorted out and I won't be buying from that seller again.

ps I've just ordered two sheets of short pips from Presports this morning. I hoping I haven't tempted fate by singing their praises here!

I have started to have problems with Dandoy -- charging a credit card when items are back-ordered and no contact for weeks on end, no response to emails. I defended them before, but am a bit angry now. But their prices can't be beat.

I just noticed that IRUIRU's encryption has been removed from the credit card details page.
I recall that they were having problems with it previously.

So just a friendly warning: be careful. Transmitting your credit card in cleartext over the internet isn't on my Top Ten Things To Do Before You Die.
