So, I've kinda been searching around for Dawei Inspirit and Galaxy Moon (not max thickness).

Megaspin seems to be out of stock of a LOT of things (more than just these rubbers).

Paddle Palace doesn't have either brand.

I tried the OOAK forum shop to no avail.

Ebay only had certain thicknesses on some and the prices were way too high on others.

Amazon --> See Ebay.

No luck at tabletennis11.

Is table tennis just going through some hard times? Back when I was active a couple years ago I didn't have sourcing issues!

Is there some new supplier out there, or am I just looking for rubbers that have been phased out?

I would guess that with Chinese vendors (on aliexpress, etc) selling at probably close to US wholesale prices, it isn't worthwhile for US retailers to stock these rubbers. There's insufficient profit margin in it, and if they tried to increase the margin, they'd be criticised for being uncompetitive or rip-offs.

[Edit: same for Australia and Estonia]

At $25 a sheet, which seems to be a little high. Also, They're out of stock! Thanks, though.

I'll look at aliexpress, thanks!

http://www.colestt.com is based in the US and has Dawei Inspirit in stock in 1.8, 2.0, and 2.2. They also carry Galaxy Moon but only 2.2.

If you want to try other inexpensive Chinese rubbers, http://www.zeropong.com has a fair assortment of different brands.

Both these rubber are not very popular (very poor sellers), and suffer from the occasional bad quality control issues, both of which are good reasons why retailers may not be interested in carrying them anymore.

Try Dawei 2008 XP and/or Galaxy 9000 3 stars for alternative.

Looked where I usually look - AliExpress, Eacheng, ttnpp. Inspirit isn't anywhere I can see, Moon is everywhere but not in anything other than Max sponge. Wouldn't be very surprised if these aren't even being made - I'd say 95% of Chinese rubber is ONLY available in Max Sponge. I don't think this has any bearing on the state of the table tennis market at all, I think it's simply that with so many varieties and variations of rubber, some are bound to get dropped so that new varieties can appear. The good thing is (or bad, perhaps, from the perspective of some) Chinese rubbers are so alike anyway that it doesn't really matter what you use, to a point.

I disagree a little about 95% of Chinese rubbers only in max sponge. It's true for Chinese sellers eacheng and Ali express but our local suppliers seem to have heaps more options. 1.8 and 2.0 pretty easy to find in many of the variants.
