Imagine trying to get UPS to send a parcel there.

Happen in Indonesia, cause there so many places with same name, and we tend to be lazy to write post code. Kebon Nanas no 3 Jakarta can refer to 3 different places. Thanks God now we can GPS sign the address. [SMILING FACE WITH SMILING EYES] Sent from my T1X Plus using Tapatalk

That's assuming the whole country (or large swathes of it) isn't like that.. He was actually reading the address off an ad in a newspaper. Reminds me of another anecdote from TV documentaries. Despite this ambiguity of addresses, India (or more specifically, Mumbai) is also home to the Dabba Wallahs - people who deliver hundreds of thousands of hot-cooked lunches (cooked at home) to office workers every afternoon without making ANY mistakes.. Thing is, though, TA, the last poster complaining about Dandoy and other vendors lives in New York City. Extremely far down on the list of locales where it would be hard to deliver a package to the correct address. He isn't living in Indonesia or a remote island in the Philipines or somewhere in New Guinea. The Devil is going to need better advocacy than that.

This sort of puzzled me, until I realized that some people are thinking that I'm defending the guy who didn't receive the parcels. I'm not, i'm just relating something humorous I came across on Television about how, in certain parts of the world, addresses aren't as organized as they are in Western countries. Though I suppose, in New York, it's easy enough to make mistakes - a wrong digit (or transposed digits) on a ZIP+4 number, the wrong apartment number, a typo on a street number, writing "Avenue" instead of "Street"..
