Its simple. You ask if they will do it. If they won't, you say I'll go somewhere that will. If they say they will and then don't deliver correctly, you tell them they lost a customer and they will now not get referrals from you to your friends.

As the consumer, you have the right to buy what you want your money to pay for. If the seller isn't willing to do business this way, they need to remember who pays them and therefore who is the boss. If they won't do basic things like this, they probably aren't worth dealing with anyway.
