About 30+yrs by now, with more than 50% abstaining in the meantime, didn't play for 10+ years, doing a restart again.

My name is Carmen and I am from Indiana, USA. I have been playing tt for about 8 years now and I play Chinese penhold defensive style. I mainly push and block with my fh and traditional bh. I use reverse bh for chopping and counter attacking in emergency situations. My other hobby is playing badminton, but I only play it for fun.

I play left handed. I used to play right handed but quit after my wrist got a bulge that made my fingers feel numb after playing and interfered with my work (artist). I played in Los Angeles for a couple of years at Westside TT club.
Then I started again 13 yrs later, as a left hander in Santa Fe. Two years on, in the US I can hold my own against 1200 players, and sometimes take games off 1400 or so but only very rarely win.
I did one tournament 1 year after starting left handed (my only ever tournament) and got a horrible rating. At this year's event in a few weeks (in Santa Fe, NM, USA) I hope to do better! I have improved a lot.
My main weakness is I'm too fat. But my technique is pretty good on both sides, so that helps!

Have you tried jpen with only one side of rubber? There's one old guy in my office who plays proper jpen since he was young, he only lift up his legs when he needs to, basically he plant his foot one point and redirect the ball at tough spot for opponent and the returns are always dead and near to him. He plays with the angle of the bat more in returning loops he smacks the ball alot.

I'm Maurizio, 52 years old, from Italy. I live near to Florence.
I coming to play tennis table in 1978 and after 20 years i stop, because a bone's desease can't permit to play and practice my preferred sport.
Before my stop i take certificate by italalian tennis table federation for to be "tennis table coach of first and second level".
This year, Olympic games hypnotise my self when i see matches of tennis table... I can't resist!! I need to play another time!! Wow! After 18 years i'm for the second time a tennis table noob! Now i play from 1 month ago, but i changed totally my old offensive attitude in game for take the hard way of defensive attitude with lp osx: unfortunately my disease don't permit other choice.. but it's ok!! Tennis table it's my passion!!
