Hi, I'm planning to get a new J-Pen blade, and so far I narrowed down to the following 3 choices.

Butterfly Senkoh-1
Yasaka Musashi Deluxe (The shops here don't carry the normal musashi anymore)
Yasaka Yagyu

I'll like some opinions and feedback about these 3 choices. I plan to get Yasaka Mark V 2.2 / Sriver 2.2 rubbers. I might use RPB as a possibility but that will be in the future. Definitely I won't be getting pips-out rubbers.

Senkoh-1 and Yagyu cost the same, while Musashi Deluxe is the most expensive one out of the 3 (Its MYR 50 more expensive, so that will come to about 15-20 USD).

My style is more of a hitter/looper/block offensive style. I seldom chop (in fact I try to avoid it as much as possible).

Hope I can get some advice from you guys before I start investing my cash into a new penhold blade ;)

For me I will go for the Senkoh-1. Failing that it is the Yagyu.
Reason being (you mentioned that) you are a hitter/looper/block offensive style player.

A good 1-ply wood blade is good for hitting and blocking. Why Senkoh-1? Because I have used it before.

Tried my friends BtY Haru carbon with sriver EL. It feels wonderful. The feel is quite soft and very controllable. In fact I can just hammer every single shot without worrying abt whether I used too much strength or not. Unlike my current JPen, If i play it the same way as the Haru, a lot of balls would be out of the table.

Haru is way out of my budget though. Using Haru as a reference point, how is senkoh-1 different? I'm probably looking for a Jpen with more control so that I can just whack every single ball without restraining myself.

Forget those three and go with Cypress-S. Soooo soft so it's great for looping. Pair it with a semi-hard rubber and it's great for drives (="hitting"?) as well. Can't go wrong with the weight or the fact that it's 1-ply Kiso Hinoki either. The price is a little bit disturbing depending on where you're buying it though.

But...if you can't get your hands on one of those, I would go with Senkoh-1, based on the already mentioned reasons above. Just thought I put in my 2 cents on the beauty of Cypress-S first though :P .

You are going for square or rounded square J-pen ? For single ply hinoki I would also recommend Darker Speed 90.
