Ive just bought a stiga Hybrid Wood carbo and i use tenergy 05 2,0 on forehand and stiga Carbosound 1,9 on backhand. Man its really fast and heavy. Almost 200g for this set up.
I wouldlike to get tips on other that is not so heavy but still i would like to keep a good controll on my backhand and some speed also.
My best hand is backhand no doubt beacuse i hold my cCpen wery different from others and it works really good.
I just want some help to choose Rubbers to get the weight down.
Im and old school player and just picked it up again a break for 20 years.
Im really an allround player but i play aggresive with my bh and chips, smash alot with bh. I rarely use my fh and just for looping then.
Hope to get some responses.
Ps i live in sweden where almost no one use jpen or cpen.

Hi Jetrider, welcome to the forum. Have you considered thinner sponges? It might bring the weight down. I'm sure there are others on the forum with more specific advice.

Hi Oskar using thinner sponges is gonna cut the weight. I would like to get tips for a cpen player which uses a really fast blade already. I used stiga energy wood butterfly bryce 2,1 on fh aand tackinesschop 1,7 on bh on my last racket which i just tried a couple of times many years ago. Wanted to try something must faster=)
Like i wrote earlier i use my bh probably 80 percent so i need an really good allround Rubber that does and works with everything. Chopping, smashing, blocking, some looping. Whats out there help me. Out.
And a really good soft fh Rubber good controll and good spinn for looping and serves.

I used to use fast cpens.

Thinner sponges will cut some mass, but I wouldn't expect to drop 20g or whatever. Your hybrid wood is a pretty heavy blade.

Anyway, since you probably want to keep that blade, I'd maybe go back to the tackiness chop you were using before or a very soft tensor - I like the Donic ones. Some of the stiga rubbers may suit as well. Don't go below 1,7. I'm not sure how heavy carbosound is, but I'd expect to drop maybe 5-10g going back to tackiness chop (maybe 32g avg?).

On the forehand, ditch the tenergy (heavy, average for me probably was about 46g in 2.1mm) and you could switch to a lighter stiga or tensor. Watch out for harder tensors, they can be a bit heavy. Expect to drop 2-5g here, depending on what you change to.

Wow ! 200 grams ! You must have a strong hand. Mine is around 120 grams only.
