Christmas is coming and I'm thinking of giving myself an early Christmas gift :)

Which is better for SP or MP between a Stiga PENHOLD Clipper CR and CR WRB?
The WRB is 80g and the non WRB is 86g. I'll be using Globe 999 1.8mm for RPB and I'll try 1.5mm 563-1 and 799 for forehand (whichever will be suitable)

The rubbers are light so I assume the WRB will not be too head heavy but the non WRB might feel lighter and balanced with the same rubber.

I hope some of you have tried this blade and SP/MP rubber combination..

Thanks!

Jordan

Blade: loukov blade
FH: rakza 7 2 mm
BH: nittaku pimple mini 1 mm
a lighter weight seems to me better, I prefer light , a bow (violin) weighs about 65 grammes ...

medium pips to forehand as penhold style is really not a common practice !

elsewhere, you can find penhold playing with long pips as traditionnal style, switching with backside on the other side.

I'll just try the medium pips and if it not suitable for me, I'll transfer the sponge to the 802. I think I need a thinner than 2.0mm sponge in the 802 SP. The 2.0mm is to fast for blocks and uncontrollable for me when driving. My strokes are still "half inverted" and it's frustrating. More training!

I have both of there blades albeit with different rubbers than your using. My wrb has xiom both back and front my cr has andro Powergrip and a donic blue I think on my backhand. The carbon makes the ball go faster. It's definitely the more powerful of the two. The cr you can swing harder and have better control. Great sound off the cr.
They are both "okay" blades. Stiga make much better blades if one spends a little more. If you want pure wood the rosewood is better than the cr by miles. It was xu xim former blade. If you want carbon the emerald is nicer this my wrb. But both carbonados are superb! The 145 for looping the 190 for hitting flat. I'll have a carbonado 45 before the end of the week. If you think it would help I'll get my blades and give you weights with the exact rubbers. I weighed them a few weeks ago. I do remember the cr was one of my heaviest blades. I have 16 blades and rising ...too many.
