too many gaps there for me. I bring my hand down the blade more so it sits close to my hand and the handle is long. I have more control and the blade is lighter when I flick my wrist. doesn't look like you sanded your blade yet either. btw nice stiga. what rubber you using?

looks fine to me. do whatever is comfortable.

i tended towards narrow handled blades and held further back like yours because it was easier to rotate the blade angle in the hand for rpb

eventually went to cut down FL blades because the handle was even thinner

probably keep in mind i was full time rpb. no tpb at all.

If I'm not wrong for RPB the wrist do the turn .
Grip should be firm.

if your wrist only does the turn you'll never be able to rpb block

Your not sanding it to make it smaller silly. Just to round off the sharp edge so it doesn't dig into you skin. Look at the blades of ma Lin wh and xx. But you'll be able to grip tighter and not dig into your fingers. Took me years to Learn. And I hate to say ruined a few bats trying. Maybe you could find a cheap blade to experiment. I do 5-10 strokes of the sand paper. Hit a bit. Do a few more sanding. Hit a bit. Play a few weeks. Sand a bit again. I did that in the beginning. Not I just go to town on a 500 dollar set up. Make minor modifications later. But I've already about 20 blades.
