Is there any Chinese-penhold blade that is offensive with the maximum head-size ? like 160mm x 161mm ?

I had ordered a C-pen blade from Stag and they mistakenly sent a ST blade, and when I got the replacement C-pen it had not been sanded down from the 160x161 default template that they use before attaching the handles.

There is hardly any vibrations, and the thing is like a rocket! Very very good "Hulk smash!" type of blade.

As I love Balsa wood, I got the Balsa-Koto blade and as expected the Koto surface is very hard :-) but a little splintery.

Kids at the club cannot handle the speed at which I can attack with it :-) Though I suffer from its "this thing is on all the time turned up to 11" setting

Getting back to the topic question, are there any offensive over-size blades out there ? And if any C-pen players who rely exclusively on big-headed blades

I think stiga used to offer cpens on their oversize lines.

Fallen out of fashion though. No perceived advantage on off blades.

I agree. Hit in the blade where you want. Usually the middle. Unless you're serving or flicking. Bigger blades especially pen grip get too heavy.

I tend to use closer to the handle shots to exert more control or block. While I use the head of the racket near or on the sweet spot for spin and power. Top-edge for neutral balls. Bottom-edge for heavy underspin or heavy topspin balls. So the larger blade helps me to vary my strokes while maintaining similar looking contact.

Rubber I use is neither over spinny or over speedy. Medium to slightly tacky. And something like a beginner rubber.

good idea. if I go closer to the blade it is lighter. I love that trick to "lighten" a blade. Your use of hitting places on the blade sounds proper. and a larger blade would allow you to have more spin depending on where you hit it.

How much bigger is your blade than a 'regular' blade.

Well, it is the de-facto blade template size  160mm x 161mm

Yup and you are right about the closer to the handle grip feeling lighter and playing more to the center of the blade and more towards the handle. I'm usually all-round and prefer to loop and miss 80 - 100% smashes and put away shots  The larger head-size of a balsa blade really makes playing any stroke sooooo easy ! :-)

Where can I buy one of these oversize?

I'm thinking of getting a Donic Defplay just to see how an oversize feels.
They say the Defplay has pretty much All-Around to Allaround+ speed.
The Stiga ones splinter fast anyway.

To my knowledge there is Stiga Oversize series of blades but I dont know if it comes in C-pen. Also Giant Dragon has some Super-Balsa I / II blades I think are extra large in size. I have seen that XVT Balsa blade looks a little big as well but I cant be sure. Some Nittaku Gokiri is also large but its NOT Balsa.

I haven't seen other manufacturers selling oversize blades. I myself got one from Stag factory by accident! I am not sure if I can get another one again so thats a problem.

Im looking for a popular manufacturer selling oversize balsa blade but I haven't found one yet.

Edit: Friend of mine bought Dr. Neubauer Firewall Plus. Head size 162mmx158mm ? Pretty big! But I think FL/ST/AN ? I think ST handles might be suitable for C-pen ... might need to add grip-tape ... might need to surgically cut off length of the ST handle :-P Risky!

I converted both of my Defplay Senso blades and my Barricade blade (all ST grip) to cpens. The Defplay was especially a game changer for me, with ALL+ speed (157 x 163mm, 81g) bc I had been using equipment that was too fast for me, and everything magically started landing on the table   I still had the necessary speed for kill shots with either blade at my lower level. The barricade is even larger, slower, and much lighter (163 x 164mm, 51g!). I recommend either, if willing to accept the speed reduction in exchange for extra control. Barricade better for flat hitters I think, whereas the Defplay is better for looping. Both great with OX long pips if you decide to go that route at some point.

Also, If wanting to stick to oversized offensive cpens, I can think of a few interesting options:

Nittaku Goriki (7-ply walnut), 100g, $$$

Nittaku Goriki Ch.Pen | Penhold Blades | Tabletennis11.com (TT11)

Genshu L 7-ply, ALL+, 165x155, mine is 81g https://rubber.ocnk.net/product/2800

Akkadi K-1 Kiso Hinoki 1-ply, 8.5mm thick, 150x164, 95g Blades K-1 CHN[akkadi] | Table Tennis Shop iruiru.com

If willing to go with a ST or FL handle, there are many other choices. Here are a couple of interesting ones:
VKM Offensive: 165x155 Victas Koji Matsushita Offensive - Megaspin

Yinhe Def 10 or 11, light, 165x154 https://tt-maximum.com/shop/blades/yinh ... way-def-11
