I'm so excited about getting this new setup!

It's probably too advanced for me, but after reading all the hype about Hinoki blades I had to get one!

It's a pricey paddle, but I got a pretty good deal on it:

Cypress G-Max - $218.69 USD
Tenergy 05 - $75.00 USD

My company also provides us with a $200 wellness credit that can be applied towards sporting equipment, so I only paid $93.69 out of pocket.

I hope it feels every bit as good as it looks.. :lol: These 1 ply hinoki blades used to be a lot more popular, at least in Asia, than they are today. Japanese penhold used to be the default style here back in the 1970s - maybe 95% of all the schoolkids who played table tennis played Japanese penhold.
