Jpen RPB
Blade: ? Some kind of plied Jpen made for RPB (One website said it was a BTY innerforce, but if it was it would have to be a custom racket)
Rubbers: Supposedly Tenergy 05 both sides.

That is a seriously ferocious backhand he has there. Yes, I've seen Jpen RPB before, but don't think I've seen anything of this quality.

Agreed. He can pack some serious pace into his backhand. Very exciting to watch!

I play Jpen RPB (recent change) at about a modest 1500 level, and I can say the advantage for the BH is the same as the FH, in that it's bigger. However, the blade I use is squared, it's a multi-ply rotary Jpen like Taisei.

I've tried several Cpen lately for comparison on the RPB, and it's not that different. I love the feel of my discontinued jpen, the "Selebes" by bty so I will stick with it rather than converting to Cpen. I seen no real advantage other than twiddling and since it's double inverted...no reason to switch. I do play on trying SP on the FH and for that I will buy a cheap Cpen to experiment with and add a Jpen cork to it. I really like Wang Zengyi's style and have thought about goofing around with his setup.

He is very good but somehow I feel like he'll fucc up his wrist in a few years from that straight finger RPB grip.
Ofc I am no where near his level but I find that straightening your fingers like that makes the wrist lock so you have to cock it back if you will. For random strong RPB shots that XX does it's ok but to do it so often like Matsushita does in his drills I have a feeling his wrist hurts on his non-playing days

I also use straight fingers and cock my wrist back on my RPB loops. I certainly hope my wrist holds up! They were sore after one day of training it, but since then I’ve had no problems with my wrist. (Knocks on wood)

Regarding Matsushita, any confirmation on blade and rubbers?

Yes. Taisei's blade is a custom racket. He ordered for BTY and got it.

Now he changed a BTY innerforce ZLC J-pen into a BTY ZJK ALC J-pen.
Of course the latter is a custom racket, too.

He also changed rubbers from Tenergy05 on both sides into Dig09C on FH and Dig05 on BH.

Taisei introduced his own racket,
a BTY ZJK ALC J-pen and Dig05 on both sides then.(07-02-2021)

Am I wrong or in this video, the shakehand player in red & black shirt is also a Matsushita (coincidentally a K.Matsushita LOL) ?

I guess Matsushita is like Smith or Jones in Japan ?

Or , for all I know these two players are brothers or cousins (one is the son of Koji) & other is the son of Yuji. I may be making the wrong assumption that Koji & Yuji are brothers . I know there was a Yuji in the world ranking list during the time of Koji but I do not know if they are related or if Yuji was also a cut player

Maybe someone in Japan can correct me or agree with me.

Hi, Wony. I explain Matsushita family members.
As you know, Koji Matsushita(松下 浩二) is famous for a very good chopper.
Koji has a twin younger brother, that is Yuji Matsushita(松下 雄二).

Yuji was a penhold looper and he became the men's singles runner-up for ALL Japan chamiponships in 1994
and represented Japan in WTTC 3 times.
Koji became the men's singles champion 4 times for them in 1993,1995,2001 and 2002
and represented in WTTC and Olympic Games a lot of times.

Yuji has some children, Kaiki(海輝),Taisei(大星) and Tatsumi(竜巳).
So, in the video Kaiki(Shakehand) and Taisei(Penhold) were fighting and the younger had won with a net-in.
