That's really a bit of a broad questions Dalems, as it depends on you style, level and budget...

Can you tell us what you're using at the moment, and what you're looking for that you rcurrent bat does not give you?

The best bat is what suits your style and level... a more expensive one may not help your game at all...

I would suggest a simple premade then, like a DHS6006 premade or a galaxy equivalent.

That would work fine to start, but for $40 in the U.S., you can more easily and cheaply get a custom paddle that is higher quality than a premade.

From Zeropong, you can get the LKT MindGame with a 2 mm sheet of Geospin Tacky and a 1.8mm sheet of Gambler Aces.
http://zeropong.com/xcart4/product.php? ... 283&page=1

A higher quality blade is the Galaxy U-2004 in Cpen http://www.colestt.com/woodblades.php with a sheet of 2.0 38 degree Galaxy Venus and 2.0 LKT Pro XP http://www.colestt.com/inverted.php for $45. Either shop will assemble it for you.

If you are only using rubber on one side, you can probably get either combo for $10 cheaper, though you will need to paint or cover the other side with a contrasting red or black sheet if you go that route. Most Chinese penholdrs nowadays use rubber on both sides though.

Let's assume that I (great talent, lots of skills! ) would like a penhold blade to jerk around with, what would you recommend? Preferably a cheap with RPB option and carried by OOAK.

Not sure about this, but if the price is tempting enough I would love to try out a real C-pen blade.

If you want something really fun to hit with, you can't beat the DHS CW-D, fastest paddle I've used, but not terribly practical to use regularly. Worksmanship is excellent though and price is great.

The Bomb blade is much more practical and a teammate used one to learn RPB, so that would be a good choice. The Galaxy blades are excellent quality. OOAK has a small selection, but they're all good.

Probably the ultimate in worksmanship is the Avalox 550, which is a loopers dream. Plus it's Swedish-made if you care about that
