I was wanting to upgrade my Galaxy K-2 to something a little faster but retaining about the same amount of feel and control. I came across Yasaka Ma Lin Carbon and Extra Offensive and started to toss up about which one to buy.

Reviews say that Extra Offensive has a better feel and more control than Carbon does while having the same, if not more speed...

Which one should I buy? Carbon or the all wood Extra Offensive?

Thanks again! :D

By the way I'm a penhold mid-distance looper with RPB.

My MLC was slower than my K2.

 Crap...that's pretty slow..., seeing as they say 93/100 on megaspin...so go for the Extra Offensive?

I used to play with MLC and play with YEO now. Overall YEO has better feel and conctrol (I play Pen RPB), and has a stiffer and harder feel. I would not say YEO is a blazingly fast blade but fast enough with good control for short game. If you want control I would go for YEO.

ps. If you want to purchase YEO they seem to be difficult to obtain. For example none of US stores had any in stock but I found one in Sweden: http://www.ttex.se I got one for $41 including shipping which is a good deal.

Try iruiru.com. I find they are the best site for Japanese brands. You will have the advantage of having to chose from the available weights.

Yeah, I bought the YEO off presports last time. Did not like it so I gave it to a friend of mine. Mind you, presports has a Nittaku Rutis at 75g. I am really resisting very hard against it  So far so good :D

Cheers.
