If you put the blade face on a flat surface, then some part of the blade face is not touching the flat surface. Mind you, I have not seen one, I only read it on some posts. Just like the cases of cracked J-Speed 90.

Addoydude,
have you bought the Violin C ? When you receive it, make sure that you check it properly. I read about some warping problem with the Violin. And select the most suitable weight for your purpose (mine is 77 grams and I am happy with it).

I have not bought yet. I'm still thinking about it. Mainly I want to get a long Cpen blade so I have more space for RPB. But I tried Cpen yesterday for a few matches and I found that I'm more comfortable with the Jpen finger hook.

In case you don't know, Nittaku Rutis is a C-pen with J-pen handle. You might want to have a look at it :)

I know about Rutis. But the dimension is not long. Just 157mm face length, according to spec. That is just the same length as my Violin R-H. I'm actually thinking maybe I should try the Violin P-H. I opened a thread in MyTT to get an idea of people's Jpen RPB setups. This forum I don't think has a lot of penhold users let alone Jpen RPB.

Reb, You might hav posted it b4, but allow me to chk with yu again. Is yr blade a HK King? or other model of Hurrican? I ask bcos of the vibration yu mentioned. I am considering a HK 4 my nxt blade.

Sorry Jix, I'd missed this question. Yes I have a Hurricane King mate. The real deal! :wink: With Tango on it or Omega even, there is little vibration. Nice and solid. With Venus, there was more vibration. With IQ there was little vibration also. So just depends on the rubbers it seems. Actually Venus is the only one I've noticed vibration with it.

Addoydude, if you decide to buy the PH, please let me know what is your opinion about it compared to RH. I bought some rounded square J-pens before, but now I switched to the squared shape as I like it more. I have one Violin RH, and I am wondering myself whether I should buy the PH version, but visually I don't like the look of this PH and RH. If it has the shape of the normal J-pen, I would not hesitate to buy one.

Welcome to the forum Kokuyo, and congratulations for your first class collections ! I would appreciate it if you can let me know about the difference in performance between Violin C-pen and HK CS whenever you have tried them.

aeoliah,
i pull out my new Violin C and put on 729-08 FH and H3#19 on BH..total 178g.
play RPB half an hour with the robot ..
what i can say that is, i love the Violin C on RPB...it is stable, high percentage "in"..
it is stable, good feel, less vibration than HK..
i will play in my club tomorrow, and i will let you know how it plays...

So your first impression is that you like Violin C more than the HK CS ?
What is the weight of your Violin C without rubber ? Mine is 77 grams.

my Violin C is 86g..and my HK is 85g...
well , i can only talk about on the RPB...
Violin vibrates less ;
thicker;
feel more solid, (but not like carbon blades);
than HK..
or maybe i should say that with H3#19 as RPB, i like it on the Violin more than HK.. on the HK, i prefer Shriver EL more than H3#19...
they both feel "stiffer" than my HH and acoustic C..
