Thank you Beer Belly, iruiru gave me a measurement of 258x150 mm for a squared J-pen. I think they are mistaken, because 150 mm width for a J-pen would be abnormally too wide, so I am asking them to recheck the size.

aeoliah, best to hold off your purchase from iruiru for now. That goes for everyone. Silver found that their transaction page is NOT encrypted. So you run the risk of having your credit card detail being exposed easily

Now you guys can stop blaming me for this KLC :P

Cheers.

Oh, since you are doing me a favour with this information, I am taking back my blaming words. Sorry
Now, back to iruiru, the situation is valid only recently or is it always like that for a long time ? I bought 7 or 8 times from them in the past, luckily nothing bad happened.

Nice review, too short for me in length (I like 163-164mm) but sounds like a nice blade.

If you need something harder than Sriver for the RPB, you might try Nittaku Nodias.

For the forehand, I haven't tried it yet, but 729-5 might fit the bill.

This is not necessarily right at all. iruiru.com uses a frameset for their shopping basket on their page and there has always been problems with pages showing up as non-encrypted when they in fact are fully encrypted. There are plenty of sources for this "feature" on Google.

Here is one example. The third paragraph is the important one.
http://www.pryor.com/security_info.asp

So, IMHO there is not any reason not to use iruiru.com at all.

Do they make the KLC in J-pen? I thought it was only C-pen?

Anyway..... thanks to you guys, I went ahead and ordered one from iruiru! Can't wait for it to get here! :toothy8:

Now to the next question, what rubbers should I put on it?

Brab, thanks for the clarification. BUT I would still rather not. That 'lock' symbol has become like a safety blanket for online shopping for me  :D In any case, I don't have anything I need from iruiru for now anyway so can wait till I see that symbol back before I buy again. The same cannot be said for guitarpug :P

By the way, for anyone interested in Silver's RUTIS C, it is also available from www.presports.com for A$110. I wrote to them and was told they have a 75g available which is real nice. I am very tempted but decided against it as I have way too may blades already

Cheers.

Could some KLC users out there post what their FH/BH rubber setups are like please?

I'm thinking of trying out a Globe 999 NT 2.0mm I have lying around for FH, but for BH, I'm thinking of going SP, probably an 802-40 again which I'm currently using on my Optimum Sync. But I'd like to try something tackier for my KLC forehand for serving and close table play. I'm currently using Omega II Tensor BIOS (Euro sponge). I'm guessing something Chinese like DHS H2, or Cream MRS may be suitable?

Mine was originally FH Tenergy 64 and BH 889-2 sp but an hour ago, changed my BH to the Octopus Joola that I won off you :D Overall weight is now 143g only.

I have also tried Tenergy 05 on FH which worked very well too. Once the 64 died on me, I would probably put Gambler Outlaw on it to see how it goes but that won't be a while yet.

Cheers.

Hey! It arrived! Excellent - I hope it serves you well (pun intended)! :D

I've been reading the Gambler Outlaw thread and I've decided to give that a go on my new KLC when it arrives!
