He plays pipped forehand? I thought he used it on his backhand? From the Dimas match the red rubber is the PO, no?

edit; Nevermind. I see it now. How did I miss that. :?:

When I watch him play, perhaps it's just the specific matches I'm catching, but it seems like he's looping on the FH more than driving or hitting. If he's going to loop, I wonder why even use the SPs?

What's the tactical advantage here given that he loops?

Edit: yeah it was definitely the matches I caught. I see more hitting in other matches. Still, he does loop quite a bit....

He is sponsored by Yasaka and uses yasaka equipaments.
Sweden is sponsored by stiga so he uses the swedish uniform from stiga...

Wow, he's just made the grand final of the ITTF World Championship!!! He'll be playing Ma Long :( :( :(

Here are the highlights of the semifinal:

For those of you that are interested, it seems he now uses the following:
Blade: Yasaka Ma Lin Soft Carbon
BH: (Inverted): Rakza X Max
FH: (Pimples, short): Rakza PO (probably Max)

Well, he is from the most south of Sweden and I can assure you they rarely ever eat ”surströmming” (rotten herring) which smells like the worst poop ever, horrible thing to eat that only people far to the north of Sweden eats and then together wit raw onion, flat bread and lots of vodka.

So it must be something else making Mattias so good :).
