Nice find, 5jd33 :)

He's got a very nice and dynamic style and switches from defence to full on attacking very quickly and often unexpectedly. I like his style :)

I found another video of him. Here he is playing Jacques Secretin.

MartinSpin has a great match from the Leeds open between Li Gun Sang and Waldner. It is not the same match as above. Great quality and about 18 minutes of play.

yeah, brabhamista. it's a very nice style indeed. a precursor to modern defense.

the vid from MartinSpin is great--and with English commentary! :D too cool!

Yes, he was an excellent defender, in fact he was nicknamed "the undying bird" for his graceful/excellent footwork and watertight chopping defence. one of the best defender straddling between chen sin hua and ding song.

Look at the point at about 3:55 against Klampar above i the video above. Fantastic point, and a great camera angle.

Here he plays against Waldner, very enjoyable to watch :)

This is one of my all time favorite defenders. I was very happy to discover that there was almost an entire match with fantastic points between him and Chen Loncan in this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl ... aI#t=4951s

Or goto 1:22:30 in this embedded one (many thanks to Timeout for inserting that in this thread: viewtopic.php?f=39&p=247114#p247114):

Are there any more videos of him?

I have the entire match (i think) with Chen vs Erik Lind. It's on dvd. I have to convert it. Any tips?

Erik was so young in those days. I believe there was a Davis Cup Match that year as well in your city of Gotenburg, Sweden vs Germany (and Boris Becker). Those were the good old days - I miss them so much.

There are some freeware you could use, like DVDFab (if it is still available) or perhaps FormatFactory. I would love to see the whole march. Good 'ol days... I agree :)

I have the same dvd with the training video of Chen Xin Hua - he actually speaks. This was my first post when i was pippy. By accident I found 777zoomers channel so you should save his stuff - priceless- before its too late.

OK Def just for you I'm working on uploading the match between Lindh and Chen, and the training video of Chen.

Please, if anyone knows the easiest way to do this let me know. I have an imac btw.

What do you need to do? Rip the DVD? for Mac use Handbrake (which is free).
http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/12987/handbrake
Then upload it somewhere such as YouTube.

Hey thanks for the tip!

I was gona use Wondershare video converter ultimate later tonight. But I have never done this before.

If you have personally converted a dvd file using an imac so it can be uploaded please walk me through this.

I dont need the frustration during my week nights, my opponents at the club are already enough
