Pretty big achievement for an OX LP player.

I agree. Always nice to see a pip player playing the final of an ITTF event, especially when the guy is using OX which in general is considered a handicap. I'll try to watch the final. I'm very curious...

Are you sure they want to replace him? I never read that in the e - mail I've got...

Well I hope so. They said they want someone with "knowledge and insight," which is something Burgess absolutely doesn't provide.

Unfortunately Liu Song has to play in the men's doubles final while Chuang Chih-Yuen rests.

That can be an advantage or a disadvantage. We'll see it right away.

Too bad he lost the match. :( He had his chances, but didn't took them... Great comeback from chiwawa (I always call him in that way because his name is so difficult). 8)

New Liu Song match: http://cdn.laola1.tv/ittf/iframe/player ... ntinos_GRE

I'm starting to like Liu more and more, especially his chop-blocking technique which goes kinda sideways/down, I have to try that some day.

Me too. I've adopted his vertical bat forehand block.

Great match... he looked clearly the better player. I'd love to see his chop-blocks in slow-mo...

Great match ... how sad that got away.
I played against Liu in Argentina Open '03. He recently left China and was 7000 times faster than me. No wonder the result :(
