i also think he uses an oversized blade for some time now, as far as i know the DHS Hurricane Classic is not oversized. and the shape of the blade does suggest a butterfly or victas

Blade: Butterfly Defence II
FH: Tibhar Evolution MX-P 2.2
BH: TSP Curl P1r 0.5mm
dont know, but i found chopping with SP very hard to do...
for me SP were faster than my inverted rubber (T05)
much harder to control
i found easier to chop with normal defensive inverted with thin sponge eg. Tibhar Super Defence 0.5mm
similar spin, similar sensitive to spin but slower (easier to control)

It's the VKM, Beeray made this observation a few months back:

Looks like he is indeed playing the Victas Koji Matsushita, sharp observation Beeray! Apparently, VKM is popular for Chinese (short pips) choppers: Hou Yingchao, Ma Te, Wang Yang all used or use VKM. Also the Japanese SP chopper Muramatsu had a VKM for a while. And the famous Swedish Def-attack.

No, I saw the blade ( topview on table ) and it looked like the DHS Classic.

You could be right. From a distance, the handle of VKM looks quite similar to Hurricane Classic...

the shape of the blade near the handle does not look like a VKM at all, it has a shape more similar to the LKT Toxic blades

I really can't imagine Hou being the type to randomly change to a VKM when he's used a Hurricane Classic for 20+ years... :)

It might be the camera angle or the nice quality of the video, but I noticed the good bounce of the ball. I found this webpage stating Orenburg uses the Nittaku balls:

http://www.ettu.org/mens-european-champions-league/clubs/ttc-fakel-of-gazprom/

I wonder if these are the SHA's or the Premiums? Anyone?
