Hi, When I met Mick last year at the 2013 Australian Veterans Championship, Darwin. He was using Tibhar Mythik OX on BH and very satisfied with that LP's performance! Cheers! PingpongStephentTai |

Hi Haggisv, I am going to give it a go within a couple of days. I would like to see whether it is better than DTecs for my style of game! Cheers! PingpongStephenTai |

PingpongStephentTai I spoke to Mick last year at the Dandy tournament I think and he had the Mythik on then too. He had Tibhar Grass on the other side. |

Hi, Cant help and tried the new Tibhar Mythik OX at a club last night for the very first time. Its glued on my Nittaku Rutis Power, with Tibhar FXP 1.8 mm on FH. I played against two medium-level guys, both pen-holders using Short Pimple, one is a hitter and other loops and hits. Initial feel is a bit slow as I was using Dr.Neubauer All-round Premium OX these days which is a much faster OX. After a short adjustment, I got used to it. The more I play, the more I like it. I was able to hit, swipe, block and chop with good placement, control and consistency then Dr. Neubauer AP. Mythik OX has a lower throw. I ended up beating both of them. It deserves more tries and I'll use it in the forthcoming Veterans Teams Challenge and keep you guys posted! Cheers! PingpongStephenTai |

Hi Haggisv, In my opinion, Mythik OX is a different kind of rubber when compared with DTecs, which is more deceptive and weired. However, you have to tame it in order to get used to it. Just like Greg Letts says this sort of rubber is good in one thing, but lack the others. That is why he is sticking to Stiga Destroyer for years. I just tried it for one TT session, still hard to give a proper review. However, initial impressions: . Slower . Easy to tame and play . Pretty all-round LP. You can do hitting, chopping, chop-block, active or passive, swiping easily. You feel confident of doing every stroke. When it comes up to the choice of LP OX, it is really up to your style of play: . If you do chop block, passive block and chop and you are after deception, DTecs OX is the best choice . In my case, I want to be more all-round, able to hit, chop, chop-block, active block and swipe with reasonably deception, then you have to look at the others, Tibhar Mythik OX maybe another alternative That is why I believe Mick Wright has chosen Tibhar Mythik. I will test more to see this is the case. So far, initial test seems to be quite satisfactorily! Cheers PingpongStephenTai |
