I watched an interview in which Joo Se hyuk mentioned this junior player, although after seeing this interview I was unable to find footage of him playing. The above video is the first I have seen of him playing.

He certainly is a good player. I remember he beat Koki Niwa, who is world number 1 under 18 boy, at the world junior circuit event in Guam in April this year.

He is playing in Korea Open this weekend, U21 qualification groups (against LIU Yi CHN and HUNG Tzu-Hsiang TPE). Too bad he won't be playing at table 1. But let's hope he wins his group and gets to play at the filmed table.

Wow!
Liu Yi won his mens open group.
Beat Zhan Jian (wr#80 and rising) from 0-3
Lost the first game 3-11 and won the 7th 11-3 !!

I'm not entirely thrilled because Zhan is a short pip player who has been doing pretty well lately(beat Steger in Brazil and one of the very good young koreans in china) :envy:

I just can't help feel sorry for HUNG Tzu-Hsiang TPE who had to face these two well playing defender the same day before lunch :)
