Coach still uses Sriver but now its 2.1 because of the ban on speed glue. Found this out when I was at his clinic this past June.

Looks like Seemiller switched to black inverted and red anti.

It's amazing how well he still plays at his age against the young studs. Maybe that's also partially a commentary on the state of table tennis in this country, who knows. But he's done a fantastic job at staying in shape and juggling all of his coaching and tournament-running duties, yet still maintains his level pretty well.

I think that a lot of players has shown that you can be very competitive despite being quite old. Just look at Waldner. 44 years old and practices two times a week and he still manages to keep up in Bundesliga.

The website hasn't been updated recently http://pittsburghtabletennis.com/

I did my best trying not to say anything but i can't help it... that grip is just not right... it's just wrong... wonder why no top 100 world players use such "interesting" grip ?!

That interseting grip got him as high as 18th in the world at his prime.

when was that? don't know if you've noticed, but the game of table tennis has increased in time, back in the first days they used bats with sandpaper as rubbers, that doesn't mean it applies to our days...

Seriously? Are you trying to be a ass? Dont come in here and act like a jerk when you have no idea about the topic. And dont say its your opinion. You have to have knoledge of the subject at hand to have a opinion. And its obvious you dont. If memory severs me correct... it was the early 80s when he was ranked that high.

don't be to grumpy Joe... i'm sure i know more than you, i'm not trying to be an ass, i just stated my personal opinion, or i'm not supposed to???? (i thought this was a forum, maybe i was wrong). i respect your opinion, you should do the same. what i was trying to say is that in today's modern table tennis game a grip like that won't work, even the most technical players out there have hard times, i really don't think someone with that grip would make it very far today.
as far as what i know or don't know... like i said i know more than you...

You are right. I shouldnt have called you a ass. But, you have to admit. You do not have any knowlegde on how that grip would work. As you can see it does work for Coach Seemiller. And there are alot of others across the US that uses that grip also. To form a opinion on a subject you first must have knowledge of it. Just to sound off just makes that person sound ill informed and just not very smart. Not saying you are not smart. I dont know you so I cant say what your IQ in the world of Table Tennis would be. Apparently you know me? If you do please tell me. I feel I know some about TT. Being 44 and have played more than half my life you figure I will pick up on some things. But, you never know. People like you have a vast knowledge of the game and we pale in comparison to your superiority. Im sorry for the spelling and grammer. I am doing this on my phone while I am working. Oh, and one more thing. The first line? you can disregard it.

OK Joe, I really don't feel like arguing with you, I have better things to do. You are right, i don't know you, you don't know me, maybe i am an ass and have no idea of the game...I'm not 44, and I haven't played for 20 years...
