I found this guy on a hungarian forum. Wang was a member of te chinese national team years ago, but he plays in Austrian now. He was banned because he cheated with his age or something like that... So he can only play in the 1. division in Slovak.

I think he is one of the fastest player in the world...

He is very young, but has already beaten Weixing, Habesohn, Fegerl...

Yes, it's 0,5 for sure, a hungarian forum's member talked to him quite a long time and Wang talked to him about the setup, and also showed him. Maybe special sponge, I don't know.

I have Globe 889-2 on BH side of a Yasaka Advance 3d. Even in 1.8mm - 2mm sponge I was surprised how easy choppping is with it. Often use that rubber when coaching so people can loop against chop.

I am sure 1mm sponge would be a nice chopping rubber on a sensible blade.

He is playing Spanish Open, the Under 21 Men’s competition. He plays for Slovakia Republic, but 2007 he competed for China, winning the Junior Boys’ Singles title in ITTF Junior Pro Tour in Tiyuan (according to this article: http://www.ittf.com/_front_page/ittf_fu ... n_ID=2127& )

He apparently beat two of Sweden's best youths (but as you may know, young swedes are rarely good against defenders)? He won both his groups in Under 21 and Men's Single. He also beat Philipp FLORITZ of Germany in the first round of Under 21. Today he will be playing two Japanese players. Hopefully he will win at least one and then be playing on table 1 or 2 sometime this competition, so that we can watch him on itTV soon... I want to see more of this defender!

Oh, I accidentally started another thread about him and Capoblanco posted this video of him there:

He appeared at spot #252 on the world ranking this month (#48 at under 21 ranking). And he beat Achanta in Qatar and had a good match against short pip hitter Wang Zeng Yi (who warmed up by destroying Lasan Sas in 4 straight games):

Earlier, in group matches, Wang Yang was demolished by Zhmudenko:

Wang Yang will be entering Korea Open. In his group he will have to face HUANG Sheng-Sheng TPE, UEDA Jin JPN and FANG Bo CHN. That is not an easy group . It looks like he not will be playing at table 1 or 2, so probably no video from groupgames ;( . In Under 21 he will have some easier opponents...CHO Jaejun KOR, PANG Xue Jie SIN and SUN Chia-Hung TPE. And for this group he is scheduled to play 2 matches on table 1 and on on table 2  .

Entering this competition as well is Ruwen Filus and Yuto Muramatsu

I know this guys coach. He actually doesn't train in Slovakia, he trains in Dubai but plays for Slovakia, according to his coach, his backhand chop has very little spin and his forehand chop is very inconsistent, but his counter attack is scary as hell and he is very fast as well as confident

Cool match between Wang and Robert Svensson, the only Swede that is good against defensive players (except for Jörgen P and J-O W): http://tv.ttbl.de/07-10-12-frickenhause ... a-1-einzel

He is very entertaining! Some great points there. But I am very impressed by that chinese lad, he plays very matured, mixing slow and short shots with blistering attacks. He had a little more troubles with Ruwen Filus in the previous match. He is lefty and often loops straight, aiming at defenders FH but kind of close to the body and often with a slow loop. Very interesting player. But a little boring though (but he did actually look happy when he won, that is good).
