Does it look like Ma Te is using anti spin rubber instead? looking at his match with Yan An. At 21:38, his red side looks glossy.

It looks glossy sometimes but many times you can see the two different versions of red on his bat that indicates where the pimple area starts.

Edit: Clearly wrong  . You can see the 729 Big Balls on the umpires' stands. I have some of these, not my favourites. Normal size, not the big models.

Someone on the Ma Long - Lin Gaoyuan video said they were using the 729 seamless ball (which I assume is a rebranded Xushaofa like all the other seamless balls).

I found this image from his fan page. Does anyone have an idea what rubber is this?

Here is the link to his fan page on weibo. Base on the page, he is using koji matsushita offensive

Looks like Tibhar Grass DTech.... But it's probably some Chinese LP :?:

I've never tried to identify a pro's equipment off of a photo before (first time) so please correct me if I'm wrong, but after 10 minutes straight of trying to identify the rubber, it looks like an LP to me that's either OX or really thin sponge.

Earlier in the thread, this was already figured out. He's using D.TecS, sponged, probably 1.6mm. ;)

Welp, D.TecS is kind of glossy, right? So not hard to believe. From the pictures above us though, I thought it might be OX or thin sponge because if you look at how the light reflects off the rubber, it looks as if it's slightly wrinkled, which I haven't seen with thick sponged LP's in any photo.

I asked him through his weibo account and he replied saying it's tsp. He didn't say which one so we'll see if he reply back again.

*update*
So I first ask him what long pip does he use, he replied tsp. I then ask if it's P1R, he said yes.
I ask if it's possible for him to take a picture of his blade since we are all interested to know. :) I also send him one of the photos above asking if the rubber on that is also P1R since it looks different. He read my msg but did not respond.

If the rubber is not P1R, then I suspect maybe TSP is his sponsor so he can't really talk about it? that's just my guess.
Will update more if he replies again.
