Why it cant be DHS Sharping? Thick cream sponge, straight line, hybrid technique(something between LP and SP)?

We are probably putting too much weight into the 'Polo' bit of info - there could be a 'broken phone' effect here: whatever someone said/wrote originally, might be very different from the 'Polo' we (well, 'leatherback') ended up with.

The whole aspect of not being able to know what a specific pro athlete is using, is rather silly/frustrating, though.

It looks like Palio CK531A to me. Reminder, anyone is allowed to put any sponge they want under their topsheet as long as the combination doesn't exceed 4mm. I don't know what thickness he uses but Ma Te could be using a 1.8mm sponge and that would be perfectly legal.

Is there any chance that it might be Juic Leggy Defense? For 3 reasons:

1) the line of pips on the bottom (___––––___)
2) sponge color is very similar
3) it comes in 2.0 mm thickness

To me it dosent look like that the label of his pips, to me looks like a strait line.
2) sponge color is very similar
3) it comes in 2.0 mm thickness


Other thing , juic leggy have 2 stripes on the label that i cant see in his pips

It definitely would be nice to know for sure what LP he is using.
From the videos, it's probably a Chinese LP, almost frictionless (although he never twiddles for pushing) and a big fat sponge.
Great player to watch!

ohh... btw... great new combo ofstrings2 :P
(after few month testing LP, I think I will be heading back to SP).

I think its a thick sponge but 1.5 not 2.0...
