He twiddles to chop on his forehand at the beginning of the match and side swiped many many balls. You do not do this with SP.

I went through all the posts of this thread and the SP vs LP debate has always been there :-)

One poster (atlchopper) says that he heard from one of his coaches that he uses TSP long pips. The blade he used was identified a couple of times as Victas Koji Matsushita Offensive (before that it was the regular VKM).

I did a deep Baidu search for this 马特 乒乓球 and came up with this photo.
