Very large name field, got to be somewhat characteristic for the rubber...

Edit: With large I mean the horizontal spread ;)

I would say it is NO TSP or BTY pip, since both do not have this straight cut above the name field and/or also pips on the margins of it.

So it could be D.TecS, some Friendship pip... What else?

Correction: it is definetly not P1R, but P4's name field looks very different than P1R.

I'd say Friendship 755 or maybe Dawei 388d(-1)? Feint Soft is also possible.

Certainly not D'tecs, as you look closer, you can see it's not a totally straight cut above the name field...

It's certainly not DTecs. I never understood why defenders should choose that rubber anyway.

idk but it dont look like a gripppy lp, cause he just slow brush the ball, he never forces the chop...

That BH rubber looks like Feint Long 3. The cutout/edge of the pips matches:

There was also a match I watched a bit back with CNT coach commentating and he remarked that Ma Te's backhand still not as spinny as top end defender like Joo, and replies more on consistency.

Ma Te looks like he doesn't chop on his forehand much....in that video it looked almost like he was fishing when it got to his FH. He enters into a looping game quite a bit though. ANd yes, it seems his looping is less about MONSTER HIT TO DESTROY ALL OF YOU DEFENSES!!!!!! and more of control + consistency to kill you tactfully, albeit more slowly.

I like him.

Mmmm... i'm not sure the blade is the victas... but above all that's not a FLIII for sure, and i think it's non of the lps i know... that space under the pips is huge!

My training partner has some friends in the guangdong team, he says he will ask them. Hopefully I will have a definitive answer for us soon.
