Both Muramatsu and Kang Dongsoo are through to the 1/8th finals of Japan Open. If they both win their next match, they will face each other in the QF...

I am a bit sad, I would like to see Jörgen win that match. But on the other hand, nice to have a rising defender left in tve tournament. He will face young Swede Hampus in Under 21 (Hampus just lost to Filus 2-4). I wonder if Jörgen will coach Hampus...

I understand... Persson is a great guy (I spoke to him last year) and he was a great champion. In his comeback at 48, he played a very good match against the 28yrs (!) younger Kang Dongsoo...

I'm looking forward to Hampus-Dongsoo...

Technique wise Kang looks just like a young Joo. If you'd blur the image, you'd think Joo was playing. Wow!!! :inlove: :inlove: :inlove:

I agree, he plays very similar to Joo indeed. And he is a delight to watch when he plays as stable as against Jörgen. He is still young and has a lot to learn. I think the match against JP was a great lesson and a great warm up for the next matches. Not many players will loop again and again the way JP did, especially not placing the attacks with FH from BH side that far to opponents BH. Really nice (and classic) playing from JP :).

Oh how beautiful this sport can be, it just brings a smile to my face sometimes! He's really entertaining to watch, beautiful and consistent technique, I think he could use some more put away power on the FH but as you said, he's still yound and still have lots to learn.

Am I seeing this correctly, but is a part of the blade taped and the other part not?

I suppose the classic modern defense combo: Joo + Tenergy + P1-R.
