I mean, if Luka improves his FH and footwork/physique I can definitely see him breaking the 200 and surpass Fabian in a few years.

I agree! He has a very solid gameplan that seems difficult to get around for the opponent. But he needs more options, he is a little predictable. He has had that thing around his knee for a long time, I wonder if that is something that slows him down in moving from side to side.

Yeah, the knee support is not a good sign for the future, obviously there's some sort of problem there. I had problems with a knee when I was his age as well and I too used one of those for a few years, I can't say it hindered my movement much though.

Love his game and his Schlager serves, but I hate his yelling attitude. I've become temporarily deaf after watching these 2 vids!

I never have any sound on when watching :-). But that is a problem more related to that generation. It gets worse with even younger ones.

I'm a bit torn when it comes to shouting since I'm all for using all methods you can to gain an advantage. It's not fun to listen to though, but at least he got a more comfortable tone than Harimoto.

I'm also for using all methods to win, but shouting can be so much more effective when done at the right moment.

Balaban plays tomorrow at 9:30 live at table 1 in the Belgium Open. We can watch it on youtube. I look forward to how he's progressed.

When my opponent chos, I just say "bless you" or "Gesundheit"...

I like the earlier points where Luka is playing more actively, using the anti to "steal" the initiative and then follow up with an inverted loop.

Later in the match he had already won 3 games and should have been able to close out the match. Then he becomes passive.
