About Günter Englmeier is already a lot to read, even in its own thread.
I no longer know wood, solid wood in any case, old and not very spectacular. When I last saw him, he played Bty Super Anti twice as ever, one older, one newer.

Greetings, Tom.

Woah, interesting.

so, essentially, you have all no-spin serves, but control in rallies. I tried to chop with anti in the past, and it was awful to me, perhaps best anti is different.

Can you comment on service without spin, and how it's going for you?

i have tried butterfly super anti and didnt really like it-i think it may well be nasty on the f/h though.
yeah the no spin serves is a problem and you dont get many points.however in the top divisions my serve isnt strong enough anyway so anti messes people up when you serve with it.my f.h is average so i have gone for the f/h anti chop.
doing very well in practice and have not lost a game.you need very good footwork though as you need to be in good position for each shot .i mainly chop everything but will flat hit the high balls-consistancy is very good.

I've done a simialar style with anti and lp. Works surprisingly well at the club levels. Just a matter of control and consistency until the other guy makes a mistake. Which is quite often at lower levels... and most lack patience as well, so after a few rallies they start trying to whack the wrong ball far too often!

I found it was more boring to me, though. Since I was unable to add or change spin much, the "deception" factor was missing. By that I mean disguising spin and adding in side spin or no spinetc. So now I try to use an lp on the backhand and a spiny rubber on the forehand. I feel more evil doing that style, muhuhahaha!

The anti feels more stable both for myself and the opponent. If they wish to play safer, then they can keep the returns looser without as much risk.
