I found this video in my file, it consisted of several matches in the San Diego National tournament held two years ago, someone taped the matches and somehow I got a hold of it.

Watching the first match, seeing how the girl mis-read the spins, chop was not a chop, especially the way he served, I am pretty sure the man was using some kind of frictionless pips on his backhand. For those of you used to use frictionless pips, did his strokes look familiar?

Yes he was using frictionless then. I know who he is (2200+).

Did you play like him? He looked very tough to play, Borko used to serve like that and I had a heck of a problem reading and returning his serves during our double matches.

He's very good. More active with the pips than most frictionless blockers.

Smart guy, not answering my very direct question, so I assume you are very good indeed. Better start training quick, I'll use Robert as a genie pig.

My game is pretty much up in the Air. However, I figured the best way to twiddle with my huge hands...I had a hard time doing it consistantly, but now its coming much better.....Watch out, I can still two wing loop with a one wing racquet!

Yep, that is Heather Wang. For a while, she was Oklahoma City based. I have seen her at a few tournies in Texas and Arkansas. I played one match against her. Lost 3-0, but went up 9-5 to give her a little work. She is a C-Pen SP hitter, at least the times I saw her play. Her USATT stats indicate she does a lot of West Coast / Southwest tournies as well.
