Amelie played. She won a seven-setter over Martina Safran 11-6, 13-11, 10-12. 5-11, 11-5, 7-11, 11-8

Does Amelie Solja played with anti on both side of her blade? If not, which one is anti, black or red? And what anti is she using in those videos posted by AA above?

concerning the videos: she is playing the gorilla on those videos

concerning the pictures: no idea what she is playing currently on her backhand, but you can be sure that its either an anti or a long pimple on her backhand (black) and either a short pimples rubber or inverted on her forehand (red)

she lost in the 1/4 finals against Samara, Elisabeth (FN) -8, -8, -6, -3

but she won the under21 competition.

I don´t think that anti is the best solution for Amelie.
Her last results haven´t been satisfied.
I hope that she will play with pimples again in the near future.
But normally I think that this won´t happen.
Her father thinks that the anti is the best rubber for Amelie!

We will see! I hope Amelie will have a lot of success again (with pimples oder anti).

i think some people, especially in germany, are being a bit too critical..all the talk over there sounds like she isnt playing well..as far as i know, the only competition she messed up was the national league season..

reaching the 1/4 final in a pro competition, at her age, is a major achievement, lets also not forget that she reached the final in the junior world championships in madrid..

i think it could be a lot worse.. ;)

I heartily concur with your ending statement. There is the quote, "A prophet is without honor in his own land." I know of many who, being "not from her own land" wish her nothing but the best and follow her career avid interest. I think, as a whole, we of the long pip/anti briggade tend to wish the best of brothers/sisters-in-arms far more frequently than do our soft sided/headed:) opponents.
