That's the way to use Grass D.Tecs (and short pips on the forehand).

This player was from Ronsdorfs second team, which is playing in the "Landesliga". This ist Germanys 6th league. So it is hard for him to play in the 3rd league (Regionalliga).

Hi Pascal,

Why do you prefer the short pips better on your FH than inverted rubbers in your game plan?
Did you try your DTecS with sponge, if yes, what was your conclusion?
Thank you in advance.

Hi Pal,

this is a very good question. And people / my customers are asking me this since I was 15-16 years old :-D

First I have to say that I can play with a inverted rubber on FH. It makes fun, and I would not get a "bad player".
At the moment (I am giving lessons for pimple players in Hamburg) I am playing with a Gewo Flexxon 1,9 mm on FH.

I have got this reasons for a short pimple:

-I am playing a short pimple for more than 11 years. So my technical skills are completely made for a short pimple.
-I can play services with spin / backspin
-It is for my opponents to play against such a combination
-With an inverted rubber I have problems with returning some topspins (topspins with a lot of spin for example).
-With a short pimple I can hit balls with backspin. This is for me not possible with an inverted rubber.

I hope that helps you.

But please notice that this is for me personally. For most players is an inverted rubber on the FH the better way to play.
