I was speaking to Herbert at a Tournament in April which was held in England.
He was still experimenting with various combinations of rubbers. He was using long pimples, short pimples and anti-loop.
He was'nt playing very well and lost some matches he should have won.
I hope he finds a winning combination soon. He will be playing in the European Vets Tournament in two weeks time.
I will be there also, so I will see if he has found an effective combination.

Thank you for the update. Please keep us informed. The Doc has a lot of supporters on this forum.

According to his web site Dr. Neubauer plays with:

Combination # 1:
Against strong loopers, where short blocking is most important:
Blade: TITAN (ALL+)
Forehand: Dr Neubauer Diamant 1.5 (half-long pimples)
Backhand: Dr Neubauer ANTI SPECIAL 1.2mm (Anti-Spin)

Combination # 2:
Against allround players, where more speed is required for counter-attacking and hitting on the forehand:
Blade: BULLDOG (ALL)
Forehand: Dr Neubauer Leopard 1.5 (short pimples)
Backhand: Dr Neubauer Grizzly 1.2 New version (Anti-Spin)

Not sure what he's really using as he was using an inverted forehand in hohhot.

Dr. Neubauer beaten by Warren Woolcock (11-4, 11-9, 14-12) at Australian Veterans Championships. Anyone know Warren Woolcock? He uses Dawei 388-D1 and TSP Triple Chop (constant twiddling).

What happened ?
The Dr is playing very bad from what I've seen before.
Allmost looks like he think Tabletennis is the most boring game in the world ;)
By the sound it seems like his BH is LP ox ???

Not that much video online of Dr. Neubauer using antis, but from what little there is I've NEVER seen him look good with anti (like he did with frictionless LPs). I thought this match once again illustrates how uncontrollable Dr. N's antis really are (maybe he should switch to DerMaterialspezialist's anti    ).

yes his returns were too long, too high, no backspin away from the table and no pick hitting the wrong ball at all
