Here are 3 videos from a typical night at the Tampa club.

Match 1 against a 2124 rated player who usually attacks stronger but he plays soft and low spin against me. There are very few openings to attack against him. When it gets close, I keep it mostly to his backhand. Key against him is consistency as he plays very smart against my style... safe, low spin, low and long..

2nd match against a long pips chopper/hitter.
He is a 1830 rated player who can attack really well if you don't mix it up good.
I play lots of variation against him, especially on my serves and do attack frequently.

This was my 3rd match and last match of the evening. This is against a 2182 rated 2 winged attacker. I usually play all passive against him as he tries to keep attacking and gives me no opnings to attack myself. It's hit or miss and I tried to get him to miss more than he would hit.

Thanks Pushblocker for the three new vids!

Each with a different style and also the new FH element of your game is on display too!

Fantastic style...still my favourite and hope you attain your future goals in the very near future.

I love that club as there are so many different styles. This was a typical evening at the club.. Robert Carra plays the most uncomfortable style for me. He plays with a lot of control and doesn't take too many risks. His backhand attack is not as strong as his forehand attack, so I try to stay away from his forehand unless I play a pattern that involves moving him wide from one side to another.

Hello Olivier,

Nice to seeing you playing well with your new racket set-up. FYI, over the years, I have worked with Austin a good bit and he has developed a good understanding of playing against long pips. You did make him work very hard during your match.

I talked with Austin about you and he has lots of good things to say about you! After our first match, I got to play him again in the U-2300 final later on the same day and he crushed me 3:0, so he adjusted.. Don't have the U-2300 final on video..

Impressive how you can still play your own game against another long pimple player. I usually play very different against long pimple players, and use the pimples much less.

The key for me is to serve topspin into his pips.. However, that was the downfall of my game in the last 2 games as he started attacking my serves. In order for me to play my aggressive pushing game, I need to get underspin on the ball.. so, with the reversal of the pips, I need to serve topspin so that I get the underspin I need to start pushing aggressively.. However, he stopped returning the serve with the pips frequently and killed my topspin serves.

yes, I find that it is a nightmares on against another LP players. My coach tells me that I need to side-swipe (slant and arch) with good placement and serve long fast topspin / no spin. I cannot just push the ball with my LP. It is very very easy to go long.

As long as they return with the pips, I only serve heavy topspin as I want to get back chop so that I can push aggressively. No spin serves don't work for me against pips as their return will be also spinless and my pushes against no spin tend to go long.

The no spin serve must fast and low (usually their return will hit the net). I seldom serve topspin against pips, may be be'cos they are all able to chop-block and return a wobble ;( ; ya, LP push against any LP returns almost suicidal, u need to slide :D

For me, topspin is the only serve that works for me against long pips. Underspind returns dead/wobble ball. Same goes for dead serve. As I need underspin on the return, topspin is the only serve that works.. what also works is heavy side top if the receiver twiddles after their return as they will return my side spin back to me and then I push the sidespin which is still on the ball from my serve wide into their inverted side so that they eat the remaining sidespin from my serve with inverted..
