I don't remeber if this match was on itTV but none of the early matches from WTTC are left there (only semifinals and up). Anyway, here are the two last sets of Gionis victory over Jörgen Persson:

Gionis' newest match :D
He twiddle and fish with his backhand!
Oh, and his defence is really steady :)

Not many attackers can match his FH either. Also, many of those he meet seem to have troubles reading his topspin, they often block his counters to the net. He seems to hit more flat than others when counter.

Too bad Boll is soooo good against defenders, he varies the spin and sppeed very well and places the ball to Gionis body all the time (Gionis is a little slow at that position, like he can't decide weather to chop or to fish).

Anywat, nice to see Gionis is getting better against top 20-players. And he is still developing his game with varying the length and placement of his chops and also with innovative fishing far to Baum's and Boll's FH. Very nice!

Gionis is playing awesome lately
Those forehands are deadly and consistent, his backhand chops are controlled too even though he is using an OFF blade.
Too bad in the last vid Boll outstrategied him.

Gionis is better than Weixing in my opinion, he is nicer to watch and his forehand could shift a mountain
Also, his temperament is much better than Chen's, but then again, that is what makes him :)
