A training match against Hwang Sung Hoon.
Nice HD quality, nice angle and some nice rallies. Very nice overall, in fact ;)
However, the angle is not ideal when Joo plays far off the table on the left hand side.

First set:

Second set:

Third set:

MNNB,

From some rumors on the internet, JSH is now using the Grass Dtecs rubber, does that sound right to you??

Here's another clip of Joo in the Qatar Open:

@ttkenny, one of the people who left comments on this video also said he was using dtecs...

I'm not perfectly certain of course, but the flight path of the ball doesn't have the famous charactertistics of Dtechs. I'd expect to see more wobble, and would be noticeable faster.

Why did he change his rubber? Isn't Curl P1r the best choice for heavy chopping?

Greetings

Could the missing wobble be due to a thicker sponge?

That'd make it even faster.

the site spinmantra stated that Joo switched based on his team mate park mi young's switch to d. techs, and it is confirmed by Tibhar that she is indeed using that....but not Joo?, and it would only wobble if he sent back a dead ball...not if he gave a solid chop, which he almost always does

The plot thickens, but I still don't believe that Joo is using DTechs. I do wish that he does though, coz that might be the secret weapon to beat Ma Long!

Do you know what thickness that one is? The thinnest I've seen dtecs was 1.2mm...
