yes :) It is 1.0-1.3 mm P1R.
He change the thickness of rubber. Maybe Chen Weixing often makes it. And he played JOOLA Express X-plode in Champions League one week ago. Because Chen Weixing is sponsored by JOOLA. But this picture shows that he use Haifu Blue Whale III on FH.

Regarding Chen's blade: I have the Defence 2 and it doesn't have green in the label, unless this is an older version. I can't find any Butterfly with green in the label. Any ideas?

I also have the Joola Chen Weixing blade and I don't like it. The feeling is not there. Can't blame him for not using it. And on that note, the Octopus is a crap LP. It's heavy. He doesn't use that either. I bet Joola gets on his case for not using "his" products.

it is Defence II with JOOLA Chen Weixing green label (marketing PR) because he has a contract with JOOLA but he wants to play with BTY Defence II

Something I noticed just not when watching him, he uses his long pips to receive services and even short balls over the table on his forehand side!

I don't think I ever noticed that before when watching a long pips player, noticed people using their inverted on their backhand side for short chops, but not the other way around.

Does Chen not use a Joola blade? He has 2 of his own-i thought that he used inversed on both sides-not pimples out-even though on Joolas website it says he uses Octopus-long pips-??????????????? Does he use pimples out on the BH????

He's definitely using long pips on his BH, just look at his strokes, it's quite easy to see and hear the differences in technique and sound. I would also say it's pretty much confirmed that he uses TSP Curl P1R, but you never know with the pros. The blade is probably a BTY Defence 2, at least it's been so in the past as shown in some photos.

Those 2-3 really nice exhibition rallies in the last set were exactly the thing needs for the sport. Samsinov had the match in the bag, Chen knew it, Smsinov knew it, so he wasn't at any risk. Those rallies were excellent, in good sportsmanship, and were a show. The outcome of the match wasn't in any doubt at all.

Chen looked really fit inthe previous vid.

Chen uses a Joola blade- I dont even know if there is such thing as Butterfly defence 2

yes, he uses pips on the red side. According to my info chen plays with a defence 2. yes it does exist.
