That last match was great! Never Chen use inverten on BH so much as in the last set. And he applauded his opponent a few times, always nice to watch. And I loved the friendly ending also :) . What a show

I loved the match too, but that friendly ending... No, not for me. This is a serious match and it needs to end serious. If they want an exhibition, then they need to retire and participate in one of the exhibition matches out there. It doesn't look good to a person who doesn't know a thing about table tennis that they go exhibition style the final points. For such a person it looks like a playground, not a sport.

I know you don't like that and I agree with you on a principal level. But for some reason Chen accepted his defeat a few points before the end (I don't know what the score was then of what it was in the team match). I don't mind but I'm not sureI would like it if it was a match where a player for my team did like that. I always fight until the end snd expect my team mates to do the same. But as a spectator I like it :)

That's one of the best videos I've ever seen of table tennis. Such a shame Chen made a couple mistakes at crucial times.

Some phenomenal points in there.

If that's one of the best you've seen, then try youtube and type "joo se hyuk kong linghui" or "chen weixing timo boll" (german open match).

Strange he wears a Donic shirt (not Joola anymore). This is not necessarily related to his equipment 'cause he didn't play Joola either. Could also be that he just wears it because Donic is main sponsor of the European Championships event.

Chen is sponsored by Joola, But the Austrian Team is Sponsored by Donic so the SVS his club, so he wear Joola only on Pro Tour or any kind of open event... ( also see that Schlager and Robert Gardos Both BTY sponsored players use the DONIC shirt...)
