Ruwen Filus moved to WR 62 (from 80) which is his best result ever! And we know he almost beat Ovtcharov at the German Open. Ovtcharov won the German Open and reached his highest ranking as well, WR 4...

The last remaining male defender at Czech Open, and winning against Crisan is very good.

He played a good Czech Open. Here's the QF match against Freitas... Couldn't be closer...

Ruwen is playing very good in German Bundesliga. Lots of videos here of him, Gionis and Wang Xi http://sportdeutschland.tv/ttbl

I would love to see an interview with Mr. Filus. He in my opinion is the most interesting player in the world-all the twiddling, the mastery of 2 highly different rubbers and rubber types-some guys are great but boring to watch-Filus is a show stopper, and makes his opponent be one too, Ovtcharov usually just terminates his opponent by powering through them, not with Filus, Ovtcharov played his arse off and barely won-props to him! It was Filus who made the match, a show!

He didn't miss attacking the first two games. Very impressive. Maybe Wang Xi is having troubles with the poly ball?
