Despite his loss against Ryu (who is definitely experienced against even the best chopper in the world), Filus is getting even more mature as a defender. Salute
Oh and those backhand loops are mesmerizing

I hope both the match against Kishikawa and Ryu will be be uploaded to YouTube, probably by Sir Janus..

Have a look in MNNB's blog (sorry, too un-easy to paste a youtube link with my telephone, but perhaps someone else can place the film here as well) :)

RSM sure has no trepidation about hitting through Ruwen's chops. It's hard to imagine that those chops aren't loaded with spin, but that's sure how RSM made it appear.

Yes, a great win for him. He didn't get smacked by Wang Hao, but apparently gave a good deal of resistance to the Chinese. He certainly took a major step forward this year. How old is he?

Well, in that case he can become a real threat for the Chinese within a couple of years (that is: if they don't see him as becoming a threat and start analyzing him).

Nota : Lagogiannis is a defender killer..
His ball doesn't look so strong, but he makes only very few mistakes.. (the last point of part 5a is one minute long!)
He won 4-1 against Filus in Croatia Pro Tour one and an half year before (and also has won against for ex Jang Song Man at the world championship 2012) so Filus was warned.

I guess he practises against Gionis a lot.

Filus needs to be better at varying his back spin when choping. He keeps returning the same amount of spin over and over (at least that is what it looks like).

yes, that's true
When he is in Athen, they are training often together.

He told me that at the end of this game, he was only thinking about to bring the ball above the net..
He had no more lucidity at all, which explains the curious 7th set.

Well, I've only watched the final set and I can say that Filus was varying the spin, but the Greek was very consistent; Both deserved the win IMO.
